Dr. Dong Li and Mike Miao, EMEA CTO of Leoch Battery, attended by invitation and delivered presentations on lead-acid battery innovation, market application trends and system-level integration.

On 17 September, Dr. Dong delivered a presentation titled "Market Potential of Lead-acid Batteries in Asia." He said continued expansion of data center and telecom infrastructure is driving steady growth in demand for reliable backup power across Asia. While accelerating EV adoption presents challenges for lead-acid starter batteries in conventional ICE vehicles, lead-acid continues to play a critical role as a low-voltage power source in many electric vehicles. At the same time, the wider adoption of lithium-ion batteries in power applications is expanding the range of technology options available to the market.

His presentation covered network energy, automotive SLI batteries and power batteries.
