Commercial Vehicle Battery Solutions

Heavy-Duty Starting and Auxiliary Power for Trucks, Buses and Working Fleets

Engineered for the Long Road Ahead

Commercial vehicles ask far more of a battery than a single engine start. Long-haul trucks may power parking air conditioners and cab electronics through rest periods; urban delivery fleets face repeated starts and short recharge windows; buses and special-purpose vehicles carry sustained auxiliary loads; and construction and agricultural equipment must start after exposure to vibration, dust, and temperature extremes.

LEOCH commercial vehicle battery solutions are engineered around these real duty cycles. From dependable MF starting batteries to enhanced EFB and AGM dual-purpose platforms and high-capacity lithium solutions, the portfolio balances cranking power, charge acceptance, cycling endurance, thermal resilience and application fit. The result is reliable power matched to the vehicle, the route and the operating economics—helping OEMs, distributors and fleet operators reduce unplanned downtime and keep essential vehicles working.

Power Matched to the Way Fleets Work

  • Strong Starts Under Heavy Demand

High cranking performance and rugged construction help large engines start reliably despite repeated operation, vibration and changing temperatures. Reinforced designs support dependable performance across demanding routes and work sites.

  • Power Beyond the Engine

Selected EFB, AGM and lithium solutions combine starting capability with the cycling endurance needed for parking air conditioning, cab electronics and other on-board systems. This helps preserve reliable vehicle operation while supporting driver comfort during engine-off periods.

  • The Right Technology for Every Duty Cycle

MF batteries provide practical starting power for conventional applications. EFB and AGM support higher cycling and charge demand, while lithium brings high usable capacity, fast charging and intelligent monitoring to selected dual-purpose applications.

  • Global Capability, Application-Focused Support

LEOCH combines automotive battery engineering, scaled manufacturing and a worldwide service network to support OEM, distribution and aftermarket requirements. Battery selection can be matched to vehicle architecture, fitment, climate, electrical load and operating profile.

FAQs

  • Q. Can a lithium battery directly replace a lead-acid commercial-vehicle battery?

Not automatically. The vehicle voltage, charging system, starting-current requirement, physical fitment, temperature range, BMS communication and safety controls must all be compatible. The replacement should be validated for the specific vehicle platform and duty cycle before installation.

  • Q. Which is better for commercial vehicles: MF, EFB, AGM or lithium?

There is no single best technology for every fleet. MF batteries suit conventional, starting-focused applications; EFB offers a cost-effective improvement in cycling and charge acceptance; AGM supports more demanding deep-cycle, vibration and maintenance requirements; and lithium provides high usable capacity, fast charging and intelligent management for compatible high-demand systems.

  • Q. What is the difference between a starting battery and a starting-and-parking-AC battery?

A starting battery is optimized to deliver a short burst of high current for engine cranking. A starting-and-parking-AC battery must also withstand deeper and more frequent discharge while powering the air conditioner and other cab loads when the engine is off. This dual-purpose duty requires stronger cycling capability and effective charge recovery.

  • Q. How do I choose the right battery for a commercial vehicle?

Start with the vehicle's electrical architecture and approved fitment, then assess cranking requirements, battery capacity, reserve capacity, daily start frequency, engine-off loads, recharge time, vibration exposure and operating temperature. A long-haul truck with parking air conditioning needs a different battery profile from a starting-focused construction vehicle or a short-route delivery van.
